Virginia Outdoors Festival

In celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2016, the Virginia Outdoors Foundation is partnering with Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve in Loudoun County to host the Virginia Outdoors Festival.
The event features guided tours of the preserve: an ecological hike and a pollinator walking tour. Each 1-hour tour will commence at these times (25 person max per tour): 11 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.
Attendees also are welcome to visit demonstrations on site:
Archeological Society of Virginia dig
Beehives and honey tasting
Catch and release fishing tournament (bring your own rods)
Goats at Banshee Reeks: A natural resource management tool
Landscape art/sketching
Loudoun County aeromodelers
Other activities include a farmers’ market, silent auction, music, speakers, food, ice cream, pumpkin painting, and apple bobbing.
